2022 RESEARCH PARK TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT The Annual Research Park Table Tennis Tournament made a return to EnterpriseWorks this summer for its 11th year on June 28 and 29. The Table Tennis Tournament is a beloved tradition at Research Park that began back in 2010. Participants from companies across the park were cheered on as they spent two evenings immersed in intense competition. At the end of day two, trophies were awarded to the first, second, and third place winners of each bracket. Yahoo secured the Golden Paddle Trophy for the 10th time by earning the most points for their company. Check out the Table Tennis Tournament webpage here. 22 images Share  

FIRE @ FIVE 2022 Fire at Five Happy Hour and Bonfire is an event open to Research Park employees and their families and friends. This event occurs on the last Friday of every month between May and October and includes food, activities, and music. RESEARCH PARK CAREER FAIR 2022 On March 2, 2022, Research Park held a career fair to connect Park employers with students from the University of Illinois. Multiple job opportunities are open year-round, and students from any major and discipline are invited to apply. The Research Park Career Fair helps form connections between the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Champaign-Urbana area, and the Research Park. 33 images Share

We had a great semester here at the University of Illinois Research Park. Here are some photos that highlight the events of Fall 2021.

EnterpriseWorks held a fireside chat with LaTonya Wilkins author of “Leading Below the Surface” on Friday, October 15, 2021. Wilkins is a diversity and inclusion coach and wrote her book to prompt thoughtful discussion on how to achieve diverse, equitable, and inclusive cultures of belonging in the workplace. A book signing followed the fireside chat where Wilkins was able to continue her discussion with individual attendees. Find more UIRP events like this here.  The Research Park was pleased to host Dennis Hastert, former United States Speaker of the House in the Research Park this week on 2/8/10. He was interested in learning more about technology commercialization at the University of Illinois. He also visited with Nanosi, an EnterpriseWorks company making ultra small fluorescent silicon nanoparticles. Nanosi founder, Munir Nayfeh has been talking with him about energy-efficient lighting. NanoSi, has been a partner with PolyBrite, a company that Hastert is consulting, in developing new lighting technologies. In recent years, Hastert has traveled with Nayfeh to Brazil, Saudi Arabia and South Korea to pursue business opportunities.
