Applied Pavement Technology, Inc celebrated the grand opening of its Research Park headquarters on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. APTech is a leading consultancy firm specializing in pavement engineering and management solutions, collaborating with clients to support data-driven and performance-based decision-making that improves transportation infrastructure. After several years of company growth, APTech’s home base relocated from downtown Urbana to its Research Park business center in September 2024.

Mondelēz International, one of the world’s largest snack companies, opened its Research Park innovation center on April 9, 2025. Mondelēz FutureLab aims to leverage forward-thinking perspectives from students across multiple disciplines to identify disruptive concepts, experiment with emerging technologies, and challenge conventional product development processes.

10th Annual AgTech Innovation Summit On March 6, 2025, Research Park hosted the 10th Annual AgTech Innovation Summit. This conference brings together agriculture industry leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, and innovators to learn and share knowledge about the current and future of agtech. The 2025 AgTech Summit included panels, keynote presentations, networking opportunities, a pitch competition, and more. This event is free thanks to our generous sponsors. Research Park Career Fair 2025 On February 25, 2025, Research Park held its annual career fair to connect Research Park employers with students from the University of Illinois. 633 students from 109 different majors learned about internship and job opportunities.
