Responsibilities The State Farm Research and Development Center is a place where interns complete innovative, meaningful research in a collaborative environment focused on developing technical and business skills – a perfect complement to the classroom. Interns provide analysis and solutions through: Assessment of risk and financial needs for insurance products Development of innovative methods and applications to enhance insurance product pricing Data mining and predictive modeling such as regression, forecasting, and machine learning Research on emerging industry trends and hot topics The internship program provides opportunities for year-round positions for all student levels, freshman – graduate students. Your Responsibilities As a Part-Time Student-Sensing Engineer at the John Deere Technology Innovation Center in the University of Illinois Research Park in Champaign, Illinois, you will develop next-generation solutions to feed, clothe, fuel, shelter, and connect the world. We are a multi-disciplinary Advanced Engineering team in our Emerging Technology group made up of a mix of full-time and part-time roles. We are focused on Advanced Sensing applications. We rapidly and iteratively design, build, and test ideas and technology that are usually new to Deere, and sometimes new to the world. Successful candidates in these roles will be focused on developing sensing systems to solve customer problems by detecting chemical, biological, and mechanical traits in our customers’ operating environments.
