Synchrony Emerging Technology Site Coordinator Intern – Spring 2023

The Synchrony Emerging Technology Center located at UIUC’s Research Park focuses on advancing our internal capabilities in artificial intelligence, data science, and other emerging technology domains to create long-term value for our customers. The interns in the program will work closely with our Innovation Station and SMEs to deliver projects for our business stakeholders. Projects can range across multiple disciplines such as basic market and technology research, big data analytics, proof-of-concept creation, data visualization, and software development. SITE COORDINATOR ETC INTERNSHIP: In the Site Coordinator ETC Internship at Synchrony, you’ll work closely with our leadership team to identify and implement breakthrough changes. Provide a flexible, can-do mindset that will adjust to new projects quickly and help execute key initiatives within the organization. Represent the organization during recruitment processes such as career fairs, resume screenings, and interviews. Communicate with potential candidates as well as new hires during the recruitment and onboarding phases. Analyze employee data through Excel and utilize this data to improve the employee experience at the Emerging Technology Center. Assist employees with administrative tasks such as onboarding, software and equipment requests, payroll discrepancies, and more. Coordinate internal and external events to foster relationships and strengthen Synchrony branding on campus. The internship will be spent working side by side with Synchrony teams where you will apply your knowledge to complete challenging projects. Exposure to these real-life projects will accelerate your career and develop your skills in a cutting-edge global environment. Position Description:  The Computational Toxicology group functions to develop, refine, and bring awareness to in-silico methods that may help predict and understand safety and toxicology for small and large molecules.  Team members will gain exposure to a wide range of safety-related datasets ranging from biology, pharmacology, toxicology, and chemistry to help with predictive modeling and data analysis.  Using these datasets, the team hopes to apply data science and machine-learning methodology to better visualize the data and help identify novel and mechanistic associations. We’re building an inspiring space for explorers, thinkers, and makers where we can work together to improve the future of home life around the world. Procter & Gamble is best known by our different brands.
