This position will work to improve process modeling efficiency, accuracy, and capability for application to critical Caterpillar steel components.  Projects will center primarily around heat treat process modeling on steels with some exposure to forming and casting modeling.  The candidate will work with process simulation software and provide code to model and predict steel microstructures, mechanical properties, and residual stresses resulting from various heat treatments at a full component level. In addition to using and improving internal and external heat treatment simulation codes, the successful candidate will write code and advise on methods of rapid characterization and quantification of steel microstructures from microscopic images. Position Description AbbVie’s Business Technology Solutions (BTS) organization helps accelerate AbbVie’s promise to the patient through innovative people-centered technology. Position Description:  The DevOps group within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Innovation, Architecture, and Infrastructure (IAI) team helps accelerate the process to deliver digital products and services to teams across the enterprise. The DevOps Program standardizes software delivery through common tools that support regulatory and security policies. A major goal of the DevOps program is to address manual efforts of basic administrative functions of the software life cycle through coding automation to increase efficiency and decrease wait times. To support these efforts, the team is looking for 1-2 students to work as automation engineers.  Major duties would include: Building out and testing automation of DevOps processes around Atlassian projects (Jira projects and Confluence spaces). Coding integrations and configurations between systems (e.g. Atlassian and Tricentis). EW/ Multimedia/Video Intern Application – Spring/Summer 2023 EnterpriseWorks & University of Illinois Research Park The Research Park hosts over 200 events annually. As a Video Intern, you will be responsible for capturing quality photos and videos of our virtual and in-house events (when they resume). You will also be tasked with editing and recapping these events, plus creating videos to promote Research Park and EnterpriseWorks as a whole. You may also be assigned projects (promotional videos/photoshoots, etc) for start-ups in the EnterpriseWorks incubator. You and a team of interns will meet with the client to discuss the project timeline and expectations. You will be responsible for determining techniques to utilize for the completion of the project. A storytelling mindset is valuable for an intern in this position to use as a frame of reference when editing footage. Coordinating effectively with EnterpriseWorks staff and clients is essential to execute all projects to their highest potential.
