We are currently seeking two undergraduate students to join us this summer for research on biomass and sustainable materials. This research will focus on transforming cellulose and lignin, two of the most abundant natural polymers on earth, into value-added materials. The interns should be available for the entire duration of the internship and committed to completing their assigned tasks. They will work eight hours per day from Monday to Friday and should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred candidates are students majoring in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Chemistry (other engineering majors will also be considered). Previous research experience is a plus.
