Position Description: The Part-Time Student Program at the AbbVie Innovation Center, located in the Research Park, is designed to augment AbbVie’s regular staff, and is for students who are able to work in parallel to their school schedule. Major duties include: • Working with digital health team and focusing on iOS application UI design components. • The UI designer will conduct UI testing and support the app development team to deliver agile prototyping and production of watch and/or iPhone app for clinical research. Qualifications: • Must be registered as a full-time student • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis • Undergraduate and Graduate students • Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0, or equivalent • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship • 10 – 15 hours/week during the academic year • 35 – 40 hours/week during the summer semester • Creative problem solver with ability to understand larger picture yet focus on details • Familiarity with iPhone iOS11-13 and Watch iOS 4-6 • Experienced in iOS UI design • Passion for design and great user experiences • Familiarity with user research and usability testing methodologies to prioritize user needs to drive design priorities Preferred Skills: • Ability to design and deliver clean and usable user interface for Apple Watch or iPhone applications • Ability to communicate effectively – verbal, written, report, and publication Note: The position will be hired through a third-party hiring agency and will begin as soon as possible over the fall semester 2019 with an option to continue through the 2019-2020 academic year and summer.
