Primary Location: United States (US) – Illinois (US-IL) – Champaign Function: Product Engineering Title: JDTIC – PT Student Data Analytics – Champaign, IL – 60158 Your Responsibilities As a John Deere Part Time Student – Data Analyst you will primarily focus on interpreting data, cleaning and organizing data, and analyzing results using various statistical and visualization techniques. You will also acquire data fromprimary and secondary data sources to develop and implement data analyses, data collection, and other strategies that optimize statistical and data efficiency of a desired project. You will work in a fun, friendly, and fast-paced team environment consisting of various Data Analysts to see into the data and analyze it to find conclusions. Projects are operated in the Agile Scrum environment and one will need to be able to handle multiple projects at any given time. You will also be required to present your findings in onsite or offsite meetings and translate your findings/data into understandable reports. What It Takes Proven working experience as a data analyst, or equivalent school experience analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data. Technical ability to interpret data, and analyze results using statistical techniques and develop reports. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Knowledge of statistics and experience using data analysis/visualization tools and languages (Python, R, MySQL, Excel, Tableau, etc.) Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities. Adept at report writing and presenting findings using Word and PowerPoint. Must be registered as a full-time student at University of Illinois Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis Degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Sciences, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or Analytics discipline, or equivalent experience May 2021 – requirement of the program is you are available to work a minimum of 12 months prior to graduation.
