The AGCO Acceleration Center is seeking a Data Analyst Intern who is a self-starter and is interested in using data to solve problems and create progressive solutions.  This person will work on projects as a member of the North America Fuse Team, which is dedicated to using technology to enable greater productivity and profitability to our customers. Responsibilities: The Data Analyst Intern will play a key role within the Fuse team. This person will work closely with the product marketing function, looking for new ways to use data to create internal value, enable our dealers, reach new customers, and grow precision agriculture technology adoption across North America. Working on varying use cases and access to multiple data sources, there is opportunity to explore new ideas, be creative, and gain experience within a unique organization. Your Responsibilities Primarily focus on defining how robots behave in mowing applications by guiding software & hardware development and implementation for one of Deere’s robotic platforms. You will be responsible for the creation and deployment of behaviors from concept through implementation and testing. This includes researching state of the art approaches, early prototyping, integration into the software stack, and debugging on the hardware using various testing techniques around mathematical models and algorithms, image processing, vehicle control, as well as other areas in robotic systems. Experience with planning and perception algorithms. Experience with performance engineering techniques. Strong Mechanical engineering focus. Strong hardware & software fundamentals (iteration, data structure, object oriented programming, testing.) Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis PhD, MS or BS in a STEM related field or equivalent experience. Graduation date May 2022 – requirement of the program is you are available to work a minimum of 12 months prior to graduation. Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above 16 – 20 hours/week during the academic year 35 –  40 hours/week during the academic year A Strong Candidate Will Also Have Experience using Robotic Operations System (ROS). DESCRIPTION: The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for a highly talented Design Engineer intern to join our team at the Research Park for the Spring 2020 This person will work closely with the AGCO Protein Division to evaluate and optimize designs of existing processes to address customer needs and reduce cost, work on project teams to create new designs, and develop and review of current methods and standards.
