As a Data Science Operations Research Intern, from day one, you will be an integral part of the team working with the engineering and data science teams. The Screening X Lab uses automated platforms to generate data in high-throughput mode to create optimized chromatographic separations. This multivariate data, collected as a function of numerous input variables, provide a wealth of qualitative and quantitative information. However, fully extracting all understanding from this wealth of information can be complex and time consuming to do manually, leading to missed insights. The project intends to take this large dataset, automatically processing it against the experimental design to find micro and macro trends and generate visualizations and tabular summary to present the learnings. This, together with the input from the user, needs to be built into a combined into a web-based interactive report platform (using R-shiny/R-markdown) to automatically go from data to insights. Process R&D is integral part of Development Sciences organization and is responsible for robust manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients going in our therapeutic drugs. For the past two years, Process R&D is going through rapid lab automation by incorporating high-throughput, parallel reactor platforms in our arsenal.
