    2025 Research Park Block Party

    Research Park Block Party 2025 The annual Research Park Block Party took place on Sept. 4, 2025. bringing together University of Illinois students and Research Park companies for an afternoon of networking, lawn games and pizza. The event creates connections between students and employers in a relaxed, informal setting. With nearly 900 attendees, Block Party connected students with professionals from across the Research Park community. Find the full list of companies who attended Block Party 2025 here.

    2025 Research Park Hackathon

    The 2025 Research Park Hackathon took place on Tuesday, July 1. 11 teams made up of 65 total participants had sixteen hours to create a project aligned with the theme “Innovation in a Day.” Finalists demoed and presented their projects to a panel of judges on Wednesday, July 2, ahead of the awards ceremony that evening. This year, the judges initially reached a five-way tie and conducted a second round of voting after the presentations to determine the final winners.     2025 Research Park Table Tennis Tournament

    The 14th Annual Research Park Table Tennis Tournament took place on Tuesday, June 17, and Wednesday, June 18, 2025.  The results of Round-Robin games on day one were used to seed participants for the single-elimination tournament played on day two. In these games, companies were awarded points based on the placing of their players, leading to the Synchrony Emerging Technology Center securing the Golden Paddle Trophy for the second year in a row.     2024 Intern Awards

    2024 Intern Awards On Thursday, July 25, the Research Park celebrated the 18th annual Summer Intern Awards Ceremony and Picnic. Six awards were presented to student interns from across the Park’s 120+ companies to honor and recognize them for their outstanding work. This summer, interns impacted Research Park companies through diligence, hard work, and innovation. Thank you to the managers and supervisors who nominated their interns, and congratulations to all of the winners and finalists.     2024 Table Tennis Tournament

    2024 Table Tennis Tournament The 13th Annual Research Park Table Tennis Tournament was on Tuesday, July 9, and Wednesday, July 10. The results of Round-Robin games on day one were used to seed participants for the single-elimination tournament played on day two. In these games, companies were awarded points based on the placing of their players, leading to Synchrony securing the Golden Paddle Trophy for the first time in tournament history.
