Who We Are Looking For The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for an Analytics and Application Development Intern who is a self-starter and is interested in using data to solve problems and create progressive solutions. This intern needs to be able to analyze complex data sets and work in Python for AWS as well as create automated functions. Additionally, we are looking for this Intern to gain some level of proficiency in the Agriculture Machinery industry, understanding the function of machine category/type, model and series of the product Brands as well as the telemetry tracking capability of these machines. This person will work on a multi-phased project as a member of the Fendt North America Brands team, which is interested in developing digital tools to enhance the customer sales cycle. These tools will support the Dealer Operations by taking advantage of already existing telemetry data from the AGCO Data Lake. In addition to being involved in data analytics and digital tools, this person will also have opportunities to exhibit their skills in data visualization, and sales processes. Join a team which represent AGCO’s premier product line, Fendt. AGCO is a Fortune 500 company that is utilizing smart farming solutions to feed the world. What You Will Do This person will work closely with the Global Precision Ag and Digital group, and in particular the FUSE Data Team as well as the North American Fendt Brands Team. The Fendt Brands team works directly with AGCO Dealers and Farmers to demonstrate the capabilities of our premier product line, Fendt. Our Fendt line varies by machine type; 1) tractor, 2) planter, 3) combine harvesting, and 4) application equipment, as well as by series/horsepower. This will be a multi-phased project and begin by developing a tool to provide end customers with machine performance data. This role will get exposure to two areas within the AGCO organization; Precision AG and Digital as well as the Fendt Brands. Future phases will likely involve other AGCO Brands. Working on varying use cases and accessing our ‘Data Lake’ machine database, there is opportunity to explore new ideas, be creative, and gain experience within a unique organization. This position will focus on data-driven initiatives but there will be opportunities to learn about the Fendt product line. Overview: Corteva AgriscienceTM is seeking a student intern within our global Farming Solutions and Digital group. The candidate selected for this position will be working at our research site at the University of Illinois Research Park at Champaign, IL. *This position is only open to currently enrolled students of the University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign   Title: Precision Phenotyping Robotics Intern Project Goals/Background: Corteva has been involved in the research and development of agricultural robots, including those for phenotyping. The goal of this project is to support the development of robots for phenotyping. The work will entail significant field testing, working closely with the product owner, internal and external developers and other Corteva colleagues to deliver prioritized functionalities.   Deliverable(s) and Impact: At the end of the internship the robot’s functionalities that the intern co-developed will be evaluated. Successful execution of prioritized operations will be critical in the global deployment of these robots.   Skillset of the desired candidate: The desired candidate should be enrolled as a junior, senior, or master’s student in the area of crop science, ag engineering, or relevant discipline. The ability to work in crop fields (heat and pollen exposure) is essential. The candidate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle to visit crop fields for robot testing. Machine Learning Intern – AbbVie

 Position Description: AbbVie Analytical Research & Development (Analytical R&D) is a global analytical sciences organization responsible for the research and development activities related to AbbVie’s pharmaceutical products. The new biologic entities (NBE) analytical development group develops state-of-the-art analytical techniques for the characterization of antibody drug conjugates (ADC) and other novel biologics. Mass Spectrometry (MS) is an analytical technique widely used for the characterization of ADCs. Given the volume and complexity of AbbVie’s increasingly diverse ADC pipeline, an annotation tool which could annotate and segregate the true and false spectra prior to manual validation could result in significant savings in terms of time and resources. The student researcher will help us explore a range of statistical and machine learning (ML) approaches that are best suited for this application. He/she will work under the direct supervision of AbbVie AI/ML and ARD teams with the overall goal of achieving a minimum viable tool which can be successfully implemented to aid with post-processing of MS data. Major duties include: Proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy. Experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g.: pytorch) will be preferred. Develop statistical and machine learning approaches to classify/predict false positives and true positives. Developing a program that will implement the classification model on new data. Parsing the raw MS data, annotating, and storing it in a machine-readable format.  Qualifications:  Must be registered as a full-time student Must be able to commit to a regular schedule during standard business hours Undergraduate/Graduate in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0, or equivalent 12 – 15 hours/week during the fall and/or spring semesters Creative problem solver with ability to understand larger picture but who will focus on details Willingness to collaborate and actively engage in independent learning and open discussion Experience with Python, Pandas, and NumPy to process large data files. R programming Algorithms and knowledge of Machine Learning/ Deep learning concepts using Tensorflow/Pytorch would be required.
