The AGCO Acceleration Center is seeking a Software Engineering Intern who is passionate about new technologies and excited to jump in, learn fast, and make a difference. The Acceleration Center is comprised of groups of interdisciplinary students working on projects in the areas of data analytics, application development, and emerging technology research. As an Acceleration Intern, you will become a part of a team and support in the planning, execution, and completion of various initiatives to support a flagship product of a global company in the ag-tech industry. The position will collaborate closely with senior team members to develop and support web or mobile technology development around augmented reality for assisting with farm machinery repair.  As a Software Engineer Intern you will primarily focus on object oriented and functional software design, various software configuration management, and programming /coding for various applications. What You Will Do   Work on special projects as assigned by the supervisor Help create solid technical solutions leveraging our defined technology standards and knowledge of multiple programming tools and techniques Understand and develop solution plans according to gathered business and technical requirements Supporting the development of test cases, executing test plans, and assist with related problem solving during all phases of project testing in alignment with test plans Analyze and find conclusions around different technologies Understand and work on projects operated in the Agile workflow. Be able to present your proposed solutions in onsite meetings and translate your findings/data into understandable documentation and models Understand coding standards and requirements, and participate in code reviews What You Will Bring Must be registered as a full-time student Must be able to commute to the work location on a scheduled basis when safe to do so Graduation date of December 2022 or later Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above Be proficient in software architecture design of medium sized software systems Be proficient in object oriented and functional software design Be proficient in developing software code in Javascript. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a talented intern to help the EAS application team understand and document existing processes such as application change management processes, Test & Validation, release processes, uptime & SLA processes for multiple global systems. The intern will communicate with all stakeholders to understand requirements, processes, documentation, then acquire documentation approval. The intern will also help global application administrators clean up the existing list of admin issues such as project cleanup, user management, roles & access management, etc. They will assist the application team in developing and implementing any change request and/or solving any technical issue related to ALM and SW build Systems. What You Will Do Understand and document the Global application management Processes i.e. change management, service level agreement, IT compliance and audit. Communicate with local and global application administrators (ALM and SW Build System) to get details on existing admin issues Develop technical presentations and product demonstrations for Global System Develop & execute Test Cases Create training materials of ALM features and workflow. Communicate with all stakeholders effectively Technical Support – Responsible to support ALM users for any user management and workflow-related issue. Problem investigation:  Use existing tools (SOURCE, Contact Management System, Knowledge, Technical Publications, etc.) to research technical solutions when said solutions are known.  Otherwise, work with Team Leader and/or Developers on issues where the technical solution is not known What You Will Bring Currently enrolled or have completed a 4 year accredited university to obtain a degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering. Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software development life cycle) Knowledge of SW product design and development Familiarity with Software Support business practices Must be capable of producing good written technical documentation on subjects of SW functionality and workflow. The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for a highly talented intern to join our team at the Research Park for Summer 2022 & beyond. This person will play a role in software development, and implementation of innovative smart manufacturing and precision farming products and services, utilizing cutting edge technologies/tools. They will collaborate with the AGCO Global IT department, and technical leads within other groups, to define and revise the end-to-end product solutions which fall under the AGCO Cloud portfolio. They will be involved in both new product definition as well as existing product operation, modification, understanding customer or business requirements, ensuring alignment with technical plans, and producing documented models of the components of each solution.
