Job details Salary $27,000 – $30,000 a year Job Type Full-time Qualifications Work authorization (Required) Microsoft Excel (Preferred) Full Job Description As the Assistant to the Chief Social Scientist (CSS), you will represent the CSS and the mission of Common Ground Research Networks. This role enables the CSS to advance company initiatives and goals. At times, you will be the first line of communication with the outside world, our partners, and Research Network leaders. You will also need to often act as the liaison between the CSS and employees on project-based work. You must have the ability to retain information, prioritize multiple projects, and handle proprietary information with the utmost diplomacy and discretion. This role’s dynamic nature requires the ideal candidate to have exemplary time management skills and the ability to identify and anticipate the CSS’s needs. Skills and Abilities Advanced or expert proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases (Microsoft Office, Google Tools) Familiarity with QuickBooks The ability to anticipate needs, think critically and offer solutions to problems Must be able to exercise a great deal of discretion, as you may frequently be provided with highly confidential information Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details Maintain strong professional and positive demeanor Bachelor’s degree preferred Duties Attending management and departmental level meetings Maintain various records and documents for company executive(s) Maintain and distribute regular departmental overview reports Maintain project management software Assist in general bookkeeping Communicate with VIPs, hosts, editors, and local partners HR duties such as: timesheet recording, scheduling interviews, performance reviews, supporting new staff onboarding, office amenities Provide administrative support to CSS Performing other duties as assigned Benefits and Perks All employees rate a prospective employer using their own personal set of criteria based upon what is important to them.
