Prepare the company for interactions with potential customers and investors, including Coordinating with our Chief Scientist to determine the research results most needed to advance the business Develop and build marketing materials for the Company, including revising the web site and creating presentation materials, working with graphic and web site designers as required Work with our CEO to develop financial models and pitch deck materials as needed, consulting with available expertise at the University of Illinois’ incubator (Enterprise Works) Understand the competitive landscape in the industry and develop prioritized customer targets Serve as a key contact for the business, coordinating facilities needs and team building Skills & Qualities Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or Master’s degree (M.A.) in Chemistry, Natural Products, Biology, Plant Science, Nutrition, Business, Communication or related field; industry experience is highly desired. Basic scientific acumen needed to understand Company’s data and testing. Strong project management skills driving execution, and managing tradeoffs between schedule, quality, and budget. Effective communication, written and verbal; experience in writing grants a plus. Organized, self-starter with prior experience working in small teams.
