Serionix is an advanced materials company developing high-performance filtration technologies. Serionix filters are made to fit into your air purifier or furnace unit; installed like other filters, but they allow contaminant and odor removal. The proprietary formula includes color-changing technology indicates when filters have reached the end of their lifetime. Serionix’s technology originated from labs in the Material Science and Engineering program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
James Langer and Xinyu He both co-founded Serionix back in 2011 as alumni from the University of Illinois. Langer has a background in chemistry and materials science engineering. He has a background in computer science as well as chemical and biomolecular engineering.
