Research Park Welcomes Two New Staff Members

The Research Park is pleased to announce two new team members whose roles significantly interact with its resident companies.

Rebecca Motley has been named Associate Director for Operations. In this role, she manages the EnterpriseWorks incubator, overseeing property management and leasing for the building and its grounds. She ensures the facility serves the needs of its entrepreneurs and startups, both physical and programmatic. Motley has a background in economic development, small business assistance, finance, and real estate.

Motley is a two-time graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, most recently receiving a MBA degree from the Gies College of Business.

Emily Neal has been named Assistant Director of Talent. Neal leads workforce programs and resources for the Research Park, including setting up the strategy for building a talent pipeline from campus to Research Park companies and startups. She also leads the Research Park’s internal internship program. Neal’s experience includes previously working for a corporate innovation center in the Research Park, managing its intern program and office. Prior to that, she worked as Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Career Center.

Neal has a master’s degree in sports management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
