About the Role Join our team for an opportunity to manage interpersonal relationships, develop your decision-making skills, and work with diverse people in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment! The Human Resources and Outreach Intern will be part of the University of Illinois Research Park and EnterpriseWorks team to support the growth of the workforce in the Research Park. The position will directly assist internal efforts with a wide range of projects related to planning and recruiting, management and strategy, programming, and event planning in the progression of a talent pipeline, and the development of new initiatives and programs that retain and grow the technology workforce in the Research Park. The Human Resources & Outreach Intern will support a variety of internal and external initiatives for Research Park and EnterpriseWorks. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and interested in HR operations, recruitment, and event coordination. Interns in this position will gain valuable experience in project management, professional communication, and employee engagement. Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the full recruitment process for the internal Research Park Intern Team, including: Promoting job openings Updating online application forms Screening and tracking applicants Scheduling and facilitating interviews Maintain the Research Park Job Board and manage job posting requests received through RP and personal email accounts Engage with Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) for event collaboration and outreach Represent Research Park and its 120+ affiliated companies at campus recruiting events and career fairs Support and help physically set up Research Park events (e.g., speaker sessions, career fairs, student and company engagement events) Assist with internal documentation, including updates to the Research Park Intern Onboarding Manual and Company Recruitment Guide Send weekly reminders and communications to internal stakeholders Collaborate with fellow interns to enhance the overall internship experience Contribute to organizational structure, planning, and outreach efforts within Research Park Preffered Qualifications Experience or coursework in project or event management Previous HR experience or demonstrated ability to successfully manage and organize teams (this can be through a student organization or other organization) Proficient in Excel, Microsoft, and project manager/organizational tools etc. Along with WordPress and Webtools (preffered) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work on a deadline, handle multiple projects, think creatively, and adapt quickly in fast-paced environments and team setting Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong initiative and leadership skills Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Ideal Candidate Patient and detail-oriented Outgoing and personable Proactive and self-motivated Adaptable to shifting priorities and tasks Eligibility Requirements Graduation date of May 2026 or later Must be a full-time enrolled student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign at the time of employment Must be available to begin training immediately during Fall 2025 semester at a minimum of 10 hours/week This position will begin training during Fall 2025 and continue part-time through Fall 25 at a minimum of 10 hours per week. Communications Intern

Requirements Must be a full-time enrolled student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign at the time of employment Graduation date of December 2026 or later Ability to start training in August 2025 (5-7 hours per week) This role has the potential to continue in Spring 2026 (10-15 hours per week) Must be available to begin training immediately after winter break working 5-7 hours/week and during Summer 2026 working up to 40 hours/week. Events Intern

About the Role The Events Intern assists in the implementation of over 200 events annually, including small to mid-size workshops, social & networking gatherings, corporate development & grand openings, and large-scale conferences. You will work alongside our events team to execute events to ensure that the flow runs smoothly and that our team is ready to troubleshoot any issues that arise with the venue, vendors or attendees. You will help organize activities, set up decorations and make sure all logistics are completed on time. Some events may require you to work outside of standard work hours and to take the lead in setting up and tearing down. You will need to have strong communication skills to interact with other interns who specialize in graphics, communications, multimedia, etc. to ensure that the event is a success. You will also utilize multiple software programs to manage event promotion, registration, and attendance tracking. This position is an in-person, part-time internship role based out of Champaign, IL at the Dow Delivery Center at UIUC (University of Illinois Urbana Champaign). Dow has a part-time Data Platform Engineering Internship opportunity within Dow’s Enterprise Data & Analytics organization. This position is an in-person, part-time internship role based out of Champaign, IL at the Dow Delivery Center at UIUC (University of Illinois Urbana Champaign). Individuals who are within one to three years of graduation and are currently enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field, are encouraged to apply.  The duration of the internship is typically 12-14 weeks during the spring academic semester. As a Data Platform Engineer Intern, you will work with a multi-disciplinary IT expert team of analysts, engineers, developers, and support team members to create and maintain Azure cloud-based data and AI solutions. Dow has a part-time Data Engineering Internship opportunity within Dow’s Enterprise Data & Analytics organization. This position is an in-person, part-time internship role based out of Champaign, IL at the Dow Delivery Center at UIUC (University of Illinois Urbana Champaign). Individuals who are within one to three years of graduation and are currently enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field are encouraged to apply.  The duration of the internship is typically 12-14 weeks during the spring academic semester. As a Data Engineer Intern, you will work with a cross-functional team whose objective is to deliver solutions that drive business value for Dow. Recent solutions include carbon visibility, plastics circularity, and sales opportunities utilizing our enterprise data ecosystem. The Data Engineer Intern will focus on the ingestion, persistence and curation of data as defined by specific projects. The on-site Dow Delivery Center at UIUC people manager and technical manager will provide in-person mentorship across your day-to-day activities. The Data Engineer Intern will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to: Create data pipelines for projects in the Azure environment. Design, develop, test, and implement analytics. This includes the curation and ingestion of data from different source systems, driving end-to-end data flow for multiple solutions. Identify opportunities for innovating with digital capabilities aiming to accelerate Dow’s digital transformation. Qualifications Required: Must be currently enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Must be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field. Must be within one to three years of graduation. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Preferred: A GPA of 3.0 or higher. A degree discipline in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other Engineering Disciplines Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure. Familiarity with Python, Scala, and SQL programming languages. Experience with structured/semi-/non-structured databases, data ingestion, and data modeling. Multi-application and cross-platform design experience. Proficiency in data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI. Knowledge of Agile Methodology, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies. Knowledge of version control systems and code review practices. Skills Technical Proficiency: Background in computer science, computer information systems or other engineering disciplines. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure. Familiarity with Python, Scala, and SQL programming languages. Problem-Solving Skills: Effectively troubleshoots and resolves issues. Collaboration and Communication: Works well with cross-functional teams and communicates effectively (spoken and written). Security and Compliance: Familiarity with security and compliance best practices and standards.
