Research Park Front-End Developer (WordPress) Intern – Fall 2021

The Front End Developer Intern will have the opportunity to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to create websites for a variety of clients. EnterpriseWorks is an award-winning incubator at the Research Park that focuses on science and research-based start-up companies commercializing technology from the University of Illinois. Previous EnterpriseWorks interns have gone onto work at companies including but not limited to: Google, Facebook, IBM, Denodo, All State, Blue Bunny, Yelp, Solstice, and Surface 51 What You’ll Do As a Front End Developer Intern at EnterpriseWorks, you will be able to work on websites for a variety of startup tenants. Some of the websites will be for more agriculture based startups and some may be for more tech startups. The project manager intern will incorporate a web developer into a team of interns to meet and discuss content desired by a client. The graphic designers and communication interns will provide the web developer with the materials that are needed to be implemented into the website to then be deployed onto a live server. To wrap up the project, the intern will be tasked with providing the client with the tools to edit and take over their website in its entirety. Eligibility Requirements: You must meet these requirements to be eligible for this internship. Graduation date of May 2022 or later Must be a full-time enrolled student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign at the time of employment Must be available to work 10-20 hours/week during Fall 2021. Ideal candidates will continue on through future semesters. Market Research Analyst (AbbVie Innovation Center)

 Position Description:   The AbbVie Innovation Center (AIC), located in the Research Park at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, provides an opportunity for students and organizations throughout AbbVie to collaborate on projects that help advance our science. The AIC helps connect AbbVie colleagues with students in three main areas: Academic partnerships, such as capstones or class projects; Signature events, such as our yearly hackathon; and Student-enabled services, which place student interns on AbbVie project teams.    The Market Research Team (MRT), is one of our student-enabled services that provides market research to AbbVie groups and serves as an internal consulting team within the organization.  Established in 2017, the MRT has conducted over 70 projects across AbbVie and is comprised of ~ 6 analysts working on various research-related projects across AbbVie’s enterprise. The MRT is supported by the MRT Lead, a full-time AbbVie employee who provides support, feedback, and training to the MRT analysts.  Analysts are part-time university students who have been trained to listen to the needs of the client, identify an approach to address the client’s needs, collect and synthesize data, and deliver a summary of their findings to the client. MRT projects range in scope, but primarily focus on broad categories of emerging technology benchmarking, industry research, strategy and thought leadership, and vendor evaluations.     We are looking to hire 2-3 more analysts for the Fall semester.
