SUMMARY Genective, a JV between two leading global seeds companies, Limagrain and KWS, is seeking a Protein Analyst to join our growing team in the U.S. This scientist will be a member of our early stage research team that is focused on the discovery and development of insecticidal genes to support deregulation and commercialization of biotech corn traits. Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our system, ensuring scalability and performance. Qualifications Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and HTML. Experience with back-end frameworks such as Node.js and Express. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Directly manage several projects utilizing I-JET resources as well as coordinating external support Manage project teams made of 20+ undergraduate and graduate-level students in multiple disciplines Aid in the structuring of projects derived from Brunswick Innovation Channels as well as directly from divisional requests Recruit talented graduates and undergraduates to the Brunswick I-JET Lab aligned with the needs of the agreed programs and initiatives Research into areas of Electrical, Software Applications, Mechanical Simulation, Robotics, and Sensor Systems Research into Advanced Business Strategies, Customer Demographics, and Data Analytics Leverage early emerging technologies and actively track trends in academia and industry to drive innovation Coordinate projects with technology partners associated with our divisions or through Tech Nexus Investments Construct Projects in Technology Areas (Technology Use Case Scenarios) that solve real pain points for our customers.  Projects should demonstrate potential applications of these emerging technology trends in our product lines Build relationships with UIUC faculty across various scientific disciplines Seek and facilitate interaction with Start-up companies and Technology Partners in the Research Park to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and promote Brunswick as a potential customer and partner Facilitate and coordinate peer-to-peer learning to drive learning best practices from other leading corporations that have established R&D offices in the Research Park Communicate research and innovation ideas and concepts in a business and university context at Brunswick management and technical levels Present status and progress reports to Brunswick management Mentor interns and build a rich talent pool for future employment at Brunswick Assist the Site Director in running the Brunswick I-JET Lab efficiently and effectively and be an ambassador for Brunswick and its brands Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline required, Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred Strong experience in staffing, supervision, self-development, coaching, planning, performance management, project management, and budget management is required Experience with Design Thinking Methods or Innovation Processes Experience working in a role delivering through the development and deployment of new capabilities and technologies is desired Must be passionate about technology and its application to our industry Knowledge of some or all of electromechanical systems engineering, connectivity, data analytics, and software development is desired Ability to be self-directed, collaborative, organized, resourceful, persistent, and motivational is essential Next is Now!
