The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for a highly talented IoT/Mobile app intern to join our team at the Research Park for the Spring & Summer 2020. This person will work closely with the FUSE team in Tremont, IL and assist the team in building a mobile app that can replace standalone IoT telemetry devices. Job Responsibilities: Assist in technical development activities of a mobile application, leveraging AWS IoT Core: Implement AWS IoT core in an iOS or Android application Develop simple UI Capture gps location and send it to AWS backend Capture and interpret IMU/Gyro data, Create appropriate AWS backend Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: Familiarity with iOS or Android mobile apps, hopefully using the IMU or Gyro Preferably have familiarity with MQTT, and cloud based services Preferably have experience with some AWS services Preferably have some agricultural or automotive experience Qualifications: Degree program on computer science or similar application or hardware development Experience gathering data from various source systems/databases, cleansing & transforming and preparing data ahead of analysis & data-mining phase Must be registered as a full-time student Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis Additional Details: This is a paid, part-time internship for Spring 2020 and full-time internship for Summer 2020 at the AGCO Acceleration Center in the University of Illinois’ Research Park. Job Responsibilities: Assist increasing our security posture: Start basis of whitepaper cataloging the state of cybersecurity in agriculture. Find vulnerabilities in our connected systems, using a variety of penetration testing techniques.
