Job Summary:

The Product Development team generates a vast network of data points throughout the year. We are looking to add an intern to the team to help with the organization, presentation, and utilization of that information. This intern will be responsible for creating reports in our various programs, looking for third party data to support our information, assisting the team with summary reports, and helping to create presentations depicting our processes and results.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for generating and organizing databases to upload into internal systems.
• Responsible for supporting GDM Product Development team regarding data and information systems.
• Support GDM Product Development team’s data generation and proper storage.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports when needed.
• Gather public information that can be used to support agronomic statistical analysis.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
• Ability to learn internal system to keep data storage safely.

Education and Experience:

• Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Computer Science and/or Crop Science.
• Potential to continue working throughout the school season.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Additional Information:

• For Summer internship:
  • The program extends for 10-12 consecutive weeks, May – August (flexible start and end dates)
  • 40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime and extended hours
  • Continuation into Fall Internship may be possible.
• For Fall internship
  • The program extends for 10-12 consecutive weeks (August – November)
  • It may be part-time to fit the intern’s school schedule, or full-time if the intern is taking a semester off to gain experience as an intern
