Natrion

Natrion akosyakov@natrion.co 630-849-7277 60 Hazelwood Dr. Champaign, IL Natrion is pushing the boundaries of materials science to develop new batteries and battery components that eliminate fire risk while diminishing material costs. Natrion’s new Lithium Solid Ionic Conductor (LISIC) combines a proprietary high-performance ceramic made from a clay mineral that is already used in cosmetics and paper with a type of plastic that’s typically found in building fire insulation. The result is a component that can be integrated into existing battery assembly lines in place of liquid electrolytes to eliminate battery fire risk. Natrion is developing its own sodium-ion battery architecture that will pair all of the safety benefits of LISIC with chemistry that replaces lithium with sodium. natrion.co Natrion at Research Park Natrion Meets with Venture Investors in Silicon Valley Natrion lands $1.5 million in Air Force contracts Natrion Commissions New Production Line, Sets Sights on UK and EU Demand Battery startup Natrion lands $1.5M in Air Force contracts Natrion Featured in Axios for Driving Electric Aviation Natrion Receives Illini Angels’ First Investment Natrion Co-Founder Recognized in Forbes’ 30 Under 30: Energy List Natrion Named Ultimate Winner at Urban Tech Challengers 2023 Natrion Pushes Ahead with Solid-State Li-Metal Battery Tech Scale-Up, Named Finalist in LG Energy Solution Battery Challenge 2022 Natrion Named A Finalist in the 2022 LG Energy Solution Battery Challenge Natrion Receives $2M Funding, Government Contracts Co-Founder of Natrion Recognized in Chicago Inno’s 25 Under 25 EnterpriseWorks Startup Natrion Secures $2 Million in Funding from Major Backers Intern Awards Best Entrepreneurial Leadership in a Startup 2022 – Shivam Tailor Best Startup Intern 2023 – Brisa McGrath

Cache Energy

Cache Energy arpit@cache-energy.com 60 Hazelwood Dr. Champaign, IL Cache Energy focuses on creating energy storage that is safe to install anywhere and transported everywhere through long-duration electricity storage. Using technology based on thermal power plants, Cache Energy avoids the pitfalls of switching to clean energy, like changing skillset requirements or concurrent job losses. This technology can store grid electricity cheaply on a large scale. It can also enable a transition to renewable energy by helping industries move away from fossil fuels and allowing wastewater treatment plants and landfills to store the energy of biogas released, which otherwise is primarily wasted. cache-energy.com Cache Energy at Research Park Cache Energy Meets with Venture Investors in Silicon Valley Research Park start-up develops renewable energy storage solution- in Daily Illini Cache Energy Receives Financial and Technical Support from Chicago’s Evergreen Climate Innovations Cache Energy Awarded DOE Successful Energy Innovations Prize Cache Energy Closes $4.5 Funding Round Arpit Dwivedi of Cache Energy Disrupts the Energy Storage Industry Cache Energy Joins Launch Alaska Portfolio Cache Energy Wins EPIC DC Pitch Competition
