The University of Illinois Daily Illini highlighted the AARP Tech Nest at the Research Park, led by director Miranda Kemp.
The students at the Tech Nest use new technologies such as augmented reality to work on projects that will assist the aging population. The tech nest uses a unique interdisciplinary structure, grouping students from fine arts, engineering, communication and more to create product-oriented teams that complete projects on a semesterly basis.
These 16 student contractors get to interact with technologies such as Google Glass on a daily basis to work on internal and external projects for AARP.
