Stephen Cheng of ExoWear featured in Wired In Column

CHAMPAIGN – In his weekly column, Paul Wood of the News Gazette highlighted Stephen Cheng of ExoWear. The Wired In column is meant to spotlight a local high tech leader – often a startup from Research Park.

Stephen Cheng (pictured above from the News Gazette), a Boston College alum, started ExoWear with his twin brother William who graduate from Illinois with a degree in civil engineering. Their company has 14 student employees working in Champaign and Chicago. The produce wearable health monitors to track physical motion. They hope this technology can help people track loved one’s physical activity – like their grandmother who has arthritis – and use it as a supplement to costly trips to the therapists.
