Serra Ventures Highlighted in ChicagoInno Article on AgTech

CHAMPAIGN — Illinois investors shared future goals and challenges of AgTech in ChicagoInno. Serra Ventures, a Research Park tenant, was featured as an AgTech investor.

Rob Schultz of Serra Ventures says that he is concerned that the industry may be getting funded too quickly. Speaking of the future of AgTech, Schultz says, “Ultimately the consumer has confidence that their food is being grown in a sustainable fashion, because that’s becoming more important to us,” Schultz said. “Having complete visibility on all aspects of the food chain from a data and information perspective is going to be game changing.”
