On September 29-30, University of Illinois Research Park’s EnterpriseWorks hosted the second annual PygHack. This 24-hour hackathon brought together campus and community to build and innovate for the greater good of Champaign-Urbana.
Sixteen teams completed projects and submitted them for review. Projects were judged on community benefit, collaboration, design, functioning prototype, and innovation. Project submissions ranged from CUConnect, an educational job board that connects UIUC students, families and local businesses to a submission called ProfessorsPet, a generalized algorithm that evaluates a competitiveness index for a class, professor and students.
Thank you to Research Park companies, Huawei, Granular, and Wolfram for the generous prizes provided to winners.
