Madelyn Walters, Product Manager at Granular, Featured on Wired In

Madelyn Walters started out as one of Granular’s first employees when Granular opened up a new regional headquarters in the Research Park, she is now this week’s tech difference maker in the Champaign-Urbana area for her work as a Product Manager at Granular, after having worked her way up from Customer Success Manager. 

Her passion for agriculture economics started from an early age, as she grew up on a farm in northern Illinois. Now, she is working on software for farmers that provides a centralized place for farmers to store and access information about what happens on their farm to help them make better decisions. 

If Walters could give any advice to farmers it would be to know your numbers, be organized, and set and communicate expectations. 

For start-up companies, Walters advises managing what you can and don’t waste time worrying about what you can’t, because a lot can change in two years time.
