Construction is officially underway for Carle’s new orthopedics and sports medicine facility within the Research Park. The $23 million complex will be 52,000 square feet and include more than 50 physicians, physician assistants, trainers and physical therapists.

Writes The News-Gazette: “Caleb Miller, vice president of surgical services for Carle, said the new building is needed to keep up with growth and a need for more providers and services…There will be larger exam rooms, a better layout and improved spaces designed to be more appropriate for people on crutches and in wheelchairs. The building will also include diagnostic, athletic performance and rehabilitation spaces. One feature will include a dash track, which is used to measure the speed of running the 40-yard dash, Miller said.”
