Intel will include EnterpriseWorks graduate Personify’s new software in Windows computers outfitted with Intel’s new RealSense 3D camera, the companies announced Tuesday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Personify, which has offices in Urbana as well as Chicago, was profiled by the Chicago Tribune in Wednesday’s editions. The software is based on technology developed at the University of Illinois by Electrical and Computer Engineering professor Sanjay Patel, who is CEO of Personify.

‘Users can share their screens one at a time, which allows them to collaborate, Personify CEO and co-founder Sanjay Patel said.

“What you’re able to do is see each other while playing that game and enjoying that experience, which is really hard to do today while you’re in a Skype call or Google Hangout because everybody’s occupying this window, this box, and all these boxes cover the screen,” Patel said.’

Personify graduated from EnterpriseWorks in early 2014.
