Electroninks Launches Circuit Scribe Kickstarter Campaign

Electroninks Incorporated, a startup at the EnterpriseWorks technology business incubator at the University of Illinois Research Park, today launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund resources to support large-scale production of its conductive silver ink rollerball pen, the Circuit Scribe. 

Circuit Scribe is for makers of all ages, allowing users to “invent instantly.” WIthin 14 hours of being live on the Kickstarter platform, Circuit Scribe had raised more than $10,000 of its $85,000 goal and has more than 200 backers. 

Electroninks Incorporated is commericalizing technology developed in the research lab of Professor Jennifer Lewis located at the University of Illinois. It has developed a non-toxic, water-based, conductive silver ink for use in rollerball pens.
