Research Park hosts  Employment Law Workshop on April 2 with Speaker Lorna Geiler

Employment law questions about the COVID-19 pandemic are multiplying fast. Employers are facing questions on workplace safety, government or employer imposed quarantines, remote work policies, sick leave, layoffs, furloughs, travel restrictions, HIPAA privacy rules, and implications of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.

Join us in a webinar with Champaign attorney Lorna Geiler, shareholder at Meyer Capel. Lorna Geiler concentrates her practice on employment and labor law, representing primarily employers in ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Geiler has been providing regular updates and answers for local employers concerned about employment guidelines in this unprecedented and quickly evolving time.

This session will include a presentation followed by limited Q&A to help local tech employers.

This webinar is co-hosted by the University of Illinois Research Park, CU Tech CEO Roundtable, and the Small Business Development Center at Champaign County EDC.
