CHAMPAIGN – The Research Park was featured in Community Concierge Magazine in an article on the booming tech community in Champaign-Urbana. EnterpriseWorks tenants Aqueous-Solutions, LLC and PhotoniCare, Inc. were highlighted by the magazine as examples of the diverse field of tech startups within Research Park.

Speaking with Community Concierge Magazine, Aqueous-Solutions founder Craig Bethke said that Champaign-Urbana offers a wide array of resources to help tech startups develop and commercialize their products, which can make the area even more appealing to startups than Silicon Valley.

“If you like working in tech and want to develop a quality product at a rational growth rate, Champaign makes more sense,” Bethke told the magazine. “The area offers startups two major factors Silicon Valley never can: stability and affordibility.”

PhotoniCare co-founder Ryan Shelton explained how the EnterpriseWorks startup incubator helped contribute to the success of his own startup.

“For those new companies, there are a tremendous amount of resources and support through the EnterpriseWorks incubator,” Shelton told Community Concierge Magazine. “EnterpriseWorks provides verything from office and wet lab space, to shared conference and machining space, to entrepreneurial seminars and workships that will help launch a new business, as well as a great collaborative atmosphere and plenty of free food and drinks.”
