Founded as an educational and academic publisher, Common Ground has evolved into a producer and manager of content for print and the internet. The journal and book publishing process enlists the peer community as the arbiter of intellectual quality and uses Common Ground’s own pathbreaking social networking software. The company works in four related areas: Conferences, Publishing, Research, and Software. Common Ground creates knowledge communities which meet in person at annual conferences and also stay connected during the year between conferences as online knowledge communities through peer review journal and book publishing, presentations on their YouTube channel, blogs, monthly email newsletters, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr feeds. The company was founded by UI Educational Policy Professor Bill Cope. Common Ground is currently the largest company (by employees) in EnterpriseWorks and will be graduating into the Research Park into the State Farm building in May 2011. This will allow the continued growth of the company. http://commongroundpublishing.com/
