Financial information website WalletHub confirmed what we here in Champaign County already knew: Champaign-Urbana is a great place to be.

That’s according to a new WalletHub study that ranks Champaign 11th on its list of the 2015 Best & Worst College Cities & Towns in America. Among just small college cities, Champaign-Urbana ranked 7th.

The list ranks 326 U.S. cities and towns “that promise the best combination of academic, social and economic opportunities for students.”

WalletHub used metrics like education quality, crime rates and cost of living to create the rankings.

Ann Arbor, Michigan, took the top overall spot. College Station in Texas, Iowa City, Provo, Utah and Gainesville, Florida round out the top five on the list.
