Getting Here

The Research Park is located on the University of Illinois campus with student dorms, recreational centers, and academic buildings within walking distance. Whether walking, biking, driving, or riding the bus, the Research Park is highly accessible for students, faculty, staff, employees and guests.

The Champaign Urbana Mass Transit District provides bus transportation throughout the University of Illinois campus and the surrounding communities. MTD buses bring students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the Research Park.

On weekdays, the primary route that connects central campus, engineering campus, and the Research Park is called the 24 Link, which runs every 15 minutes.

Did you know? Anyone can get on the Link - for FREE! All stops on the Link are what the MTD calls "iStops" where it is unnecessary for anyone to pay a fare or show any sort of a pass or ID.

The Research Park is right next to a central cog for most campus bus routes called E-14. Other community bus routes (Navy, Yellow, Lavender to name a few) come to Research Park regularly.

Find your nearest stop with the Transit app.

Research Park is located on the south side of the University of Illinois campus, right next to the State Farm Center and other University of Illinois athletic facilities.

Parking is plentiful and free in Research Park. Multiple electric vehicle charging stations are available for employees and guests.

Research Park is about 10 minutes from Interstates I-74, I-72, and I-57.

Champaign-Urbana is well-regarded for being bike friendly. Every September we celebrate as part of the community's Bike to Work Day.

Bike paths connect the Research Park to the campus and community, and all buildings have bike racks.

Visit here for more information on bicycle accessibility at Research Park.

The Research Park is only ten minutes from the nearest airport. Willard Airport, located five miles south of the Research Park, connects our community to major hubs across the country.

The nearest train station is 10 minutes from the Research Park. Amtrak provides twice daily rail service between Champaign and Chicago, as well as southern destinations.
