Congratulations to the official winners of the 2018 Cozad New Venture Competition. Vitrix Health won the grand prize of $25,000 plus several thousand dollars of in-kind prizes at this year’s competition, followed by Agrimy Agriculture, Jetson Robotics, and RingWing, who will all receive incubation space at EnterpriseWorks for 12 months.

UIRP welcomes Synchrony

Early in April, the University of Illinois welcomed Synchrony to the Research Park. Synchrony Vice-President Ujjval Patel shared with News-Gazette why the Connecticut financial services company came to Champaign-Urbana. Patel, a University of Illinois alum, explains that the community’s impressive talent pool was a huge draw. Our student interns bring an interdisciplinary education with them to the job and this makes all the difference.
