FASS, the services division of the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA), provides shared management services to not-for-profit animal agriculture and related/aligned organizations.

About the Role

We seek a multi-talented individual to serve as Event Coordinator and Executive Assistant.

Deadline for applications: August 22, 2025

Location: The office is located in Champaign, IL. Hybrid scheduling (2 days work-from-home) may be offered.

Schedule: 8 hours daily, Monday-Friday. Overtime will be required when on-site at meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level support for boards of directors and/or executive directors
  • Plan, execute, and close out meetings and conventions of various sizes for assigned client(s)
  • Coordinate and work closely with groups of volunteers to develop meeting content and programming
  • Provide outstanding association management service to assigned client(s)
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time is required; international travel may be required

Qualifications

  • Required: Completion of a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a related field
  • Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of project management, hospitality, event planning, executive assistant, or closely related field
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks
  • Above average computer skills in Office products
  • Able to learn new software applications quickly
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are essential
  • Strong customer service skills
