If you’re looking for an opportunity to get real-world experience this summer, Cygnus Photonics is hiring an engineering intern. Cygnus Photonics is a locally based startup that designs and manufactures cutting-edge 172 nm VUV light sources for advanced photochemistry applications.

About the Role

Cygnus Photonics is looking for a hands-on team member to join its growing company. The role begins as a full-time paid summer internship, with the option to continue part-time during the academic year. Looking for at least a one-year commitment.

This is a great chance to develop real-world skills. Interns will start with hands-on technical work and grow into full engineering projects as they gain experience. Cygnus Photonics is a small, close-knit team working on challenging problems, and values people who are curious, committed, and eager to build something meaningful.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have experience with tools, fasteners, tubing, circuits, or other mechanical/electrical systems—lab classes or hobby work count.
• Typical applicants will be mechanical or electrical engineering majors, but other engineering majors may apply.
