About the Role

The Synchrony Emerging Technology Center at UIUC’s Research Park is looking for a motivated, pursuit-driven intern with a go-getter attitude and a passion for human resources, business, and operations for a Summer 2025 full-time internship. The successful candidate will be considered for Fall 2025.

Responsibilities

• Kickstart employee relations initiatives at the Emerging Technology Center through event planning and organization (i.e. professional development series, holiday parties, lunch and learns, etc.)
• Represent the organization during recruitment processes such as career fairs, RSO events, resume screenings, and conducting interviews
  Communicate with potential candidates as well as new hires during the recruitment and onboarding phases
• Create and update job descriptions as necessary through WordPress and Handshake
• Highlight the Emerging Technology Center on platforms such as LinkedIn and company-wide newsletters
• Analyze employee data through Excel and utilize this data to improve the employee experience at the Emerging Technology Center
• Assist employees with administrative tasks such as onboarding, software and equipment requests, payroll discrepancies, and more

Requirements

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
• Majoring in a field related to Human Resources, Business Administration, and Project
  Management
• A highly motivated individual who can take charge of their work and has a willingness to take
  on new challenges
• The ideal candidate thinks outside the box and is looking for a challenge in a fast- paced
  environment
• Proficient knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Well-organized and have agility to manage multiple assignments at once
• International students must have a CPT or OPT to apply
