About the Role

Ensaras is looking for a talented, passionate, and hardworking AI and Machine Learning Ops Intern who thrives as a self-starter in a startup setting. The company is a small team, and you will be responsible for developing and testing AI and machine learning algorithms under the guidance of company leadership. You will report directly to the company President.

As an AI and ML intern, you will develop, test, and optimize algorithms using data from wastewater treatment facilities to optimize operations at wastewater treatment plants using data-driven insights. You will also be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of the AI and ML algorithms on the Ensaras AI Platform.

Applicants should have experience with python, scikit-learn, deep learning, large-language models, reinforcement learning, and DevOps. Experience with integration of machine learning and AI algorithms into cloud-based web services hosted on AWS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wrangle data.
• Develop, test, and improve machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms using wastewater treatment plant data.
• Integrate key data-driven insights into the existing data pipelines and dashboards.
• Deploy final models into the AI/ML pipelines, and ensure they run with a high up time.
• Produce well-documented and reusable code.

Requirements

• Time commitment of 20 hours per week.
• Currently pursuing M.S. in computer science or electrical and computer engineering.
• Proficiency in python and javascript web programming languages.
• Experience using cloud-based services (e.g., AWS).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Role is based in Champaign, IL.
