Founded by Faculty member Hans Blashek, TetraVitae Bioscience developed biobased chemicals, plastics, and fuels. Their proprietary technology and expertise in the fields of industrial fermentations, process engineering, microbiology, and cellulosic feedstocks aimed to dramatically lower the costs of production, allowing them to compete with and replace petroleum-derived products.
