About the Role

Cache Energy is hiring a Materials Performance Engineer with an innovative mindset and the ability to plan and perform ceramic/cement-based materials experiments. Candidates should be able to move quickly and get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Lead performance enhancement and cost reduction of unprecedented “solid fuel” with a goal of building the most economical energy storage solution.
  • Perform hands on ceramics/cement-based experiments and carry out thermal/mechanical characterization of material.
  • Carry out accelerated, long-term testing of material under practical application conditions.
  • Work in a small, driven, collaborative team with a large amount of autonomy and ownership.

Qualifications

  • Experience with cement/ceramics microstructure-property relationship
  • Undergraduate degree in a related fields
  • Significant research experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • A master’s degree or higher in Civil, Materials, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Extensive self-led research experience

Compensation

  • $60,000 to $100,000 Base Salary + Benefits
  • Stock Option Plan
  • Unlimited PTO
