About the Role
Lyten is hiring an Associate Engineer to operate carbon growth and post-processing equipment at the direction of team engineers and scientists, harvesting carbon as required.
- Perform routine maintenance on all process equipment.
- Ability to do electrical and mechanical repairs/modifications and contribute to new equipment builds.
- Comfortable working on rapid turnaround projects.
- Responsible for lab cleanliness with the Lab Manager.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry (molecular), materials science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or computer science) with a minimum of 1 year of industry-specific experience or a minimum of 1 internship related to the field.
- Strong process development capability with quality, cost, and throughput considerations.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with ability to independently execute priorities to meet deadlines.
- Position requires working in both laboratory and office environment in addition to collaborating with teams in remote locations.
- Strong integrity and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative style that earns the respect of peers, subordinates, and clients.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Able to move boxes weighing up to 30 pounds across the office for various needs.
- Spends time in noisy environments.
