John Deere and Granular have recently released Profit Maps, a free tool to assist farmers in viewing average cost, revenue, and profit map layers at the subfield level. Farmers will now be able to view subfield level profitability more quickly and easily because of Granular’s combination of power of machine and production data in the Operations Center.
Harley Janssen, project manager at Granular, says that Profit Maps goes one step past understanding a farm’s financial health and helps farmers assess the financial return on farming practices at a more granular subfield level for free. Another project manager at John Deere, Brad Silva adds that “Technology advancements have helped farmers to turn variability across their fields into opportunities to improve their profitability.”
In order to opt in to Profit Maps, United States farmers click the Granular Profit Maps icon on the tools menu in the Operation Center. Here they have the ability to view average cost, revenue, and profit maps.
