Congratulations to the six official winners of the 2017 Cozad New Venture Competition. On the Non-University Resource Track, Trala took home the first place prize ($15,000), followed by Mesh++ for the second place prize ($10,000), and VR MD in third place ($1,000). On the University Resources Track, Automated Energy Systems won first prize ($10,000 and $5,000 for Best Energy Startup Award), Steady won second prize ($5,000), and PhantomCor took home third prize ($1,000). Many of these startups have used services provided by Research Park, such as iVenture Accelorator, EIRs, and participation in NSF I-Corps.
Automatic Energy Systems won the I-Start prize, which awards a basket of first-year professional services through EnterpriseWorks at Research Park. More information on I-Start Professional Service Assistance could be found here.
Automated Energy Systems, Mesh ++, inContAlert, and PhantomCor also won six months of lab space at the EnterpriseWorks Incubator.
