FruitVaccine is developing an edible vaccine administered via fruit (e.g., cherry tomatoes), which will immunize against the human respiratory syncytial virus (hRSV). All humans, especially infants and the elderly, are susceptible to hRSV Which mainly affects the lower respiratory system. Currently, the market doesn’t an hRSV vaccine or a fruit-based vaccine. An edible vaccine will be safer and more cost-effective than other vaccine forms and the FruitVaccine technology will be applicable to additional infectious diseases.
