A new episode of the Innovations @ Research Park Podcast featuring Dr. Beth Conerty went live this week. Dr. Conerty is the Associate Director of Business Development at the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory (IBRL) and has been serving as the Regional Innovation Officer at the Illinois Fermentation and Agriculture Biomanufacturing (iFAB) Hub since it was selected as a 2023 Tech Hub Designee last October.

Last month, Eden Park Continuous Disinfection donated Far UVC 222nm lightbulbs to the kitchen space at EnterpriseWorks. These bulbs are a great way to reduce the negative impact of viruses and pathogens!

Congratulations to EnterpriseWorks startup graduat

Congratulations to EnterpriseWorks startup graduate Serionix, Inc. for recently signing a deal with Lowe's and Chewy for @colorfil_air.

Serionix was founded by James Langer and Will (Weihua) Zheng, then University of Illinois graduate students, in 2011. During their tenure at EnterpriseWorks, they developed filtration technology that is now used for pet owners.

18 months ago, Lav Varshney, founder of EW startup Kocree, joined the 57th class of White House Fellows, working on Artificial Intelligence policy with top-ranking government officials. When reflecting on his fellowship, he said, "I think there is a strong need for scientific and technical expertise in government, whether it's AI or other things."
