Process Mining Intern – Kohler

The Process Mining – Intern will be responsible for providing the business analyzed data to showcase the status of the Order Management process. Additionally, this position will partner with other supply chain professionals to understand what key factors are making our order management process succeed. A deep love of problem solving, data, business intelligence, and analytics is required to excel in this role.


Customer Journeys

  • Define the different workflows that orders go through in our SAP system for our major customers.
  • Identify what are the key factors per customer that influence the order fulfillment process.
  • Create those workflows in the Process Mining Tool (EveryAngle / UiPath)

Workflow & Process Design

  • Collaborate on the improvement of the overall supply chain order fulfilment process. Based on the data and information gathered through the process mining tool, collaborate with the Supply Chain System Design team in order tailor our supply chain processes to fit Kohler customers’ needs. Utilizing data analytics and process owner insights, the Intern will collaborate to help make our processes have a seamless and touchless transition of information and product through the order fulfilment process.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives. The Intern will provide data insights to understand the unique challenges preventing each top customer from achieving order fulfilment goals. With the support from the Supply Chain System Design team, the intern will work to champion the alignment of all stakeholders to ensure most impactful order fulfilment initiatives are being actioned to completion.

KPI & Metrics

  • Establish the process and data needed to measure our attainment to the desired workflow.


The Process Mining – Intern reports to the Manager – University of Illinois Research Park (UIRP). The Process Mining – Intern will collaborate with the Supply Chain System Design & Control Tower team through one of our team members.


  • Requires current enrollment and/or successful completion of study at an accredited school offering Business Analytics, Computer Science/Engineering, Industrial Design, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Drive for continuous improvement and willingness to learn required.
  • Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of supply chain / SAP desired
