About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Abbott’s team and contribute to meaningful work at the intersection of healthcare and emerging technology. As a part-time PHD student, you will support corporate initiatives with a strong emphasis on emerging quantum technologies — helping the team explore the landscape, assess relevant developments, and inform thinking on where quantum innovation may intersect with Abbott’s mission and long-term strategy.
Requirements
- Experience with quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum embedding, AI, and ML
- Ability to read, understand, and explain technical documentation and research papers
- Strong communication skills, creativity, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams and leaders
- Pursuing a doctoral degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and others if you have strong and relevant experience with Quantum.
- Graduation date of May 2027 or later
- Ability to work 15–19 hours per week
