Xerion Advanced Battery, Dioxide Materials To Participate in Urbana Schools Family STEM Event

EnterpriseWorks tenants Xerion Advanced Battery and Dioxide Materials, both startups licensing technology out of the University of Illinois, will offer demonstrations of their technologies at the Urbana School District #116 family STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) night on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Urbana Middle School.

Urbana students will give presentations (elementary students from 6 to 6:30 and middle and high school students from 6:45 to 7:15) on various STEM subjects.  There will also be active demonstrations from a host of local STEM professionals and outreach groups including Dioxide Materials, Xerion Advanced Battery, UIUC Veterinary Student Outreach program, UIUC Material Advantage, Society of Women Engineers, Orpheum Children’s Science Museum, Center for Nanoscale Chemical-Electrical-Mechanical Manufacturing Systems at UIUC, and Illinois State Geological Survey Prairie Research Institute.
